Country Music on BBC Radio London

Post by Moshe » Sat May 28, 2016 4:58 pm

Could this be the beginning of a permanent return of Country Music to BBC Radio London? On Bank Holiday Monday BBC Radio London sees a 3 hour show hosted by Baylon Leonard from 1PM.
The trailer promises an eclectic mix of new & old country from both sides of the Atlantic. In addition to the discs, there will be live music from Margo Price & Red Sky Blue as well as an interview with one half of ward Thomas.

This in addition to Chris Country now playing 24 hours a day on DAB radio in the greater London area. I think the mix of music on Chris Country is excellent. Slanted towards contemporary country but mixing this with classic hits, the variety is much better than non any of the US country radio stations I have heard, & many miles better than the UK internet stations.
This is turning into quite a summer for country music on the radio in London.
